Project: Plan B purchased a steel clad warehouse and adjoining land in Cardiff to be redeveloped into a Materials Recycling Facility. This necessitated the building of an adjoining steel clad building, drainage, piling and concreted yard areas suitable for heavy articulated vehicle traffic
The new building from Ryman Steel Buildings was designed to take incoming recyclate and by means of conveyors, installed by others, transport the materials into the existing building for processing.

"The site is near the coast and following geological surveys was found to necessitate deep piling works to support the building and weighbridge. In addition a full drainage design was required as the adjoining land had no drainage facilities. The groundworks required were considerably more than initially envisaged and Rymans help, advice and proactive approach in enabling these works to be carried and completed cannot be underestimated. We relied on their guidance and ‘can do’ approach. In particular Dan Parker's hands-on approach and regular communication together with the team's dedication and advice enabled the timely completion of the project.
Choosing Ryman Steel Buildings as our lead contractor for the works required was a very positive experience. From initial discussions through the sales process, guidance on options and requirements, through to the whole install. Their proactive and co-operative approach was a breath of fresh air. Whilst too many companies' contractual approach creates a rigid and restrictive attitude to any project, Ryman's willingness to discuss and work in partnership to achieve a common goal enabled the successful completion of this project.
